As the Founder of the Equal Trade Alliance, Max initiated the movement to reform the trade system impacting Africa’s resources. He recognized the need for an alternative economic model that would empower African producers and eliminate the traditional buyer-supplier relationship that limits their potential. Under his leadership, the alliance has developed the Equal Trade Certification — a revolutionary model that ensures fair revenue-sharing across the entire value chain, from raw material production to finished goods.

In his role as International Coordinator of the Equal Trade Steering Committee, Max plays a pivotal role in mobilizing a diverse coalition of leaders, including academics, media professionals, private sector representatives, and civil society organizations.
